Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Inspector specializing in Rail and Transit. In this pivotal role, you will oversee significant projects within the Rail and Transit sector. With minimal oversight, you will independently manage all facets of field engineering tasks, including the formulation of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methodologies for designated projects or specific segments of larger initiatives. You will also evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, application of recognized construction technologies, and standardization of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the distribution and monitoring of Daily and Monthly Reports, along with all relevant documentation.
  • Input data into the Project Control Management System.
  • Support the Project Manager as necessary.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and ensure timely distribution of meeting records.
  • Coordinate design reviews and manage the tracking of Requests for Information (RFIs).

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction field, or equivalent practical experience in field construction.
  • Experience in large civil/structural or industrial project construction, both domestically and internationally, is preferred.
  • A thorough understanding of engineering and construction processes, as well as industry standards, is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with familiarity with CAD and other engineering software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, ProCore, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for writing and editing meeting minutes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Amtrak projects is advantageous.

Compensation: Salary range from $104,000 to $182,400.00
