Position Summary:
Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Field Inspector specializing in Rail and Transit. In this pivotal role, you will engage in a significant mega project within the Rail and Transit sector. With minimal oversight, you will independently execute various field engineering tasks, including the formulation of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methodologies for a designated project or a segment of a larger initiative. You will also oversee subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to contract stipulations, application of recognized construction practices, and standardization of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor Daily Reports, Monthly Reports, and all associated documentation.
- Input data into the Project Control Management System.
- Support the Project Manager as necessary.
- Participate in meetings, documenting minutes, and disseminating them accordingly.
- Coordinate design reviews and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction field, or equivalent practical experience in field construction is required.
- Experience with large civil/structural and/or industrial projects, both domestically and internationally, is preferred.
- A thorough understanding of engineering and construction processes, as well as industry standards, is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with familiarity with CAD and other engineering software.
- Proficiency in software applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, ProCore, and Adobe Acrobat is necessary.
- Strong communication skills are vital, as you will be responsible for drafting and editing meeting minutes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Amtrak projects is advantageous.
