GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Client Relationship Banker role is designed to deliver an outstanding customer experience by nurturing, sustaining, and enriching long-term relationships with both existing and potential clients. This position encompasses processing transactions and collaborating as part of the platform team. By assisting clients in understanding and addressing their financial requirements, the banker will offer solutions that span the entirety of the client's financial journey through our consultative sales and service methodology.
Accountability for risk management is paramount, involving open dialogue, raising concerns, and adhering to established policies and procedures. The banker is committed to acting in the best interest of clients and colleagues, ensuring that their actions foster a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk framework, success is achieved by consistently identifying, evaluating, managing, monitoring, and reporting various types of risks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Foster a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships within an assigned portfolio through proactive outreach via various channels.
2. Employ a consultative approach with current or prospective clients to identify their needs and tailor recommendations and solutions accordingly.
3. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the products, services, and processes available.
4. Collaborate effectively with internal partners to ensure that client needs are met and any issues are resolved promptly.
5. Analyze client credit data and related financial information to ensure appropriate solutions are aligned with their needs.
6. Provide necessary customer support, reinforcing the value of both current and new technologies.
7. Process transactions while adhering to balancing protocols.
8. Uphold the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies, exemplifying the ethical behavior expected from all employees.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma/GED and 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
- Proven ability to develop comfort with both acquiring new clients and deepening existing relationships.
- Ability to represent Fifth Third Bank professionally in both verbal and written communication.
- Exhibits strong business acumen.
- Demonstrated capacity for making sound decisions.
- This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
- Standard office environment.
