Job Title: Activities Director

Sonata Coconut Creek, an AgeWell Solvere Living managed community, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activities Director to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a diverse program of activities that promote the physical, social, and emotional well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that meets the needs and interests of our residents
  • Provide outstanding services to residents, family members, and visitors
  • Communicate effectively with team members, families, and residents
  • Conduct quarterly resident surveys to evaluate current activities and suggest new ones
  • Prepare a schedule of activities one month in advance and review it with the General Manager
  • Ensure that a full activity program is offered seven days a week
  • Drive the van and maintain a record of each resident's activities
  • Work closely with the community team to coordinate activities and programs
  • Participate in care planning and communicate observations to the Wellness Director
  • Maintain adequate records and staffing schedules
  • Meet monthly budget targets and accommodate special events and programs
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university or two years of full-time experience in the recreation field
  • State driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Basic typing skills and computer knowledge
  • Physical ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40-50 pounds
