Position Summary:

A rapidly growing small manufacturing business in South Florida is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations. This role is ideal for a financial professional with a hands-on approach and a strong background in public accounting and manufacturing. The CFO will be responsible for all traditional financial functions, ensuring the company’s financial health and supporting growth objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts receivable (AR) and collections to optimize cash flow.

- Oversee accounts payable (AP), ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate record-keeping.

- Administer payroll processes, including payroll tax compliance, employee benefits coordination, and maintaining up-to-date employee payroll records.

- Handle sales tax filings and conduct nexus calculations for multi-state compliance.

- Supervise inventory management and conduct regular physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and proper cost tracking.

- Develop cash management strategies and maintain cash flow forecasts to support business needs.

- Prepare cost of goods sold (COGS) entries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of manufacturing costs.

- Manage company insurances, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective risk management.

- Perform account reconciliations and facilitate a smooth end-of-month closing process.

- Conduct other financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning activities typical of a small business CFO role.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or MBA is a plus).

- Proven experience in a CFO or senior financial management role, ideally in manufacturing.

- Strong understanding of public accounting principles and small business finance.

- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Experience with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Excel.
