Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Assurance Test Intern to join our Product Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Design Verification
    • Conduct laboratory and field testing to validate new and sustaining product development
    • Document procedures and report testing results
    • Contribute to the organization and maintenance of test data and equipment
    • Provide feedback to improve the Design Assurance process
  • Engineering Support
    • Assemble product demonstration systems
    • Assist in the assembly of systems for manufacturing test
  • Engineering Level Customer Technical Support
    • Provide technical and system-level product expertise to address product deployment cases when required by the technical support escalation process
    • Create technical documentation for support staff and end users
Requirements
  • Candidate should possess a High school Diploma (or equivalent) and currently be enrolled in Higher Education courses related to software and/or electrical engineering
  • Successful candidate will possess the ability and experience to interface with Engineering leadership, Senior Development Engineers, Application Engineers, Software Engineers, and Technical Support personnel
  • Candidate should possess technical insights into:
    • Rudimentary software design
    • Basic test engineering and analysis
    • Functional assessment of embedded hardware and software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aptitude to develop a comprehensive understanding of the design and deployment of Megger products
  • Ability to glean product design functionality requirements from documentation and design team members
  • Ability to multi-task and work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to track and work in accordance with project priorities defined by Engineering leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commanding organizational skills with extreme attention to technical details
  • Ability to perform physical labor, lift objects up to fifty pounds, and occasionally work in unconditioned environments
  • Ability to think and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of a small team
  • Willingness to communicate frequently and openly with supervision and senior design leadership
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive criticism freely
  • Skills to use common desktop office software packages

This position is responsible for performing assigned development group tasks in a high-quality fashion in accordance with all facility quality, safety, reliability, and compliance policies.
