Position Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Engineering Intern at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering technology. Candidates are expected to possess a solid foundation in engineering principles.

To qualify for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in disciplines such as Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related scientific or technical fields, preferably at the sophomore level or higher.

Due to the nature of our operations, U.S. citizenship is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the Space, Cyber, and Intelligence Systems (SC&I) team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software and platforms that support critical missions in the Space and Intelligence sectors.

This internship offers the chance to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects that contribute to national defense initiatives. You will work closely with esteemed clients to devise solutions that facilitate high-stakes national security operations.

The selected intern will engage with collaborative teams on various technical projects aligned with our core mission. In addition to a competitive wage, this role provides an opportunity to enhance your skill set while working alongside a talented and technically proficient group of professionals.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance software services and platforms within an agile team environment.
- Ensure software quality is integrated early in the development process and is testable.
- Develop and participate in the QA/testing strategy, methodology, and processes.
- Implement, execute, and troubleshoot automated testing procedures.
- Conduct testing of applications through both automated and manual back-end functions as well as user interfaces.
- Research, learn, and apply new technologies/tools to address unique customer challenges.

Technical Skills Required:
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
- Experience with Test Automation tools such as Playwright, Pytest, Selenium, Test Complete, Cucumber, Apache JMeter, or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, HTML, and CSS.

Frameworks and Tools:
- Knowledge of Ansible Frameworks, Spring Boot, and React/Redux.
- Experience with Gradle, NodeJS, and cloud platforms such as RHOSP/AWS/Azure.
- Comfortable working with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like VSCode and IntelliJ.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
