As a Tax Advisory Team Leader, you will oversee a dedicated group of Advisors and Supervisors who cater to a wide array of small business proprietors and entrepreneurs.

Your role encourages the introduction of innovative ideas aimed at refining processes and fostering a culture that embraces innovation, experimentation, and the execution of fresh concepts to improve operational systems.

Success in this position will be evaluated based on client retention rates, overall client satisfaction, and performance metrics of the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:


Lead a team that establishes enduring relationships with small business owners through effective communication, offering empathetic support and guidance throughout their financial journeys.

Evaluate client feedback and market dynamics to pinpoint improvement opportunities and implement strategies that enhance client satisfaction and loyalty within your team.

Your performance will be assessed on your ability to drive client retention and optimize revenue growth, with a focus on increasing net revenue retention from refunds and renewals among your advisory clients.

Manage a team of Client Advisors and Supervisors serving a diverse clientele of small business owners and entrepreneurs across various sectors.
Ensure that advisors deliver expert advice on compliance with federal and state regulations while maximizing tax savings for our clients.

Innovative Leadership:
Promote and contribute to a culture that values innovation, experimentation, and the implementation of new ideas to enhance processes and systems.
Actively pursue opportunities for improvement, understanding that experimentation is essential for progress.

Talent Acquisition and Development:
Conduct interviews and evaluations to identify and recruit potential tax advisors for your team.
Work alongside the Senior Director of Advisory to assess individual strengths and weaknesses within the team, fostering continuous improvement aligned with the company's objectives.
Supervision and Performance Management:
Oversee Client Advisors and Advisory Supervisors managing a diverse portfolio of small business owners and entrepreneurs.
Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations while optimizing tax savings for our clients.
Take ownership of providing constructive feedback to tax advisors and cultivating strong relationships to enhance the overall client experience.

Guidance and Platform Expertise:


Guide Client Advisors through the company’s platform, processes, and technologies, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver exceptional service.

Provide ongoing support to both new and existing advisors, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Task Alignment and Metrics:
Accountable for following up with the team to ensure that tasks align with client goals and objectives, emphasizing client-centric outcomes.

Take ownership of driving client retention and maximizing revenue growth, focusing on increasing net revenue retention from refunds and renewals across all advisory clients.

Collaborate with the Senior Director of Advisory to achieve and surpass OKRs and targeted metrics for an optimal client experience.

Requirements:
Relevant degree or a combination of education and tax experience
Enrolled Agent License and/or CPA Certification (preferred)
2+ years of experience in personal and small business taxation
Proficiency in relevant technologies; spreadsheets, tax preparation, and bookkeeping software
Demonstrated leadership capabilities

Skilled in utilizing spreadsheets, tax preparation, and bookkeeping software, with advanced proficiency in leveraging technology for tax optimization and strategic analysis.

Ability to adapt to changes in processes and systems while staying informed on the latest tax codes, particularly those affecting tax strategy and planning.
