Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all functions within the unit during designated shifts.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Engages in ongoing assessments of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Works with subject matter experts and managers to foster a teamwork-oriented environment that promotes improved outcomes.
  • Embraces a patient-first philosophy and participates in service recovery when necessary.
  • Contributes to enhancing staff engagement through current nursing strategies and initiatives.
  • Provides input on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Recommends and implements actions related to training, conflict resolution, and personnel policy compliance.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in accordance with patient care needs.
  • Supports inventory control and assists in managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required within six months of hire or transfer.
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending written instructions and following verbal directions.
  • Basic computer skills.
