Business Unit: Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E)

As a member of our C2I&E division, you will engage with a team dedicated to developing innovative solutions that facilitate the planning and execution of complex, mission-critical operations. Our emphasis is on improving situational awareness, tactical command and control, and efficient video data exchange within a multifaceted operational landscape.

Position Overview

Ultra I&C is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to lead a team of proficient integrators and support our Customer Solution Engineering and Research and Development (R&D) initiatives. This role is primarily remote, with potential relocation options, and is pivotal in steering the integration efforts for Ultra's premier product. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, outstanding leadership capabilities, and the aptitude to cultivate a collaborative development and integration atmosphere. Frequent travel to customer sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee a team of systems integrators, offering mentorship and support.
  • Manage the hardware and software development and integration lifecycle.
  • Guarantee the integrity of system-level testing and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with Customer Solution Engineering and R&D teams to devise innovative solutions.
  • Engage in travel to customer locations to facilitate integration efforts.
  • Act as the primary liaison for customer engineering and integration projects, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong customer-centric approach and effective communication with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active US Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • 15+ years of experience in systems integration, particularly in Command and Control (C2) hardware, software, tactical data links, and network components within military systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical teams.
  • Hands-on operational and integration experience with systems such as ADSI, AFATDS, ADAM Cell, PATRIOT, THAAD, AMDPCS, FBCB2/JBC-P, AMDWS, FAAD, IBCS, C-RAM, and C2BMC.
  • Strong knowledge of tactical data networks and troubleshooting expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Customer Solution Engineering and R&D projects.
  • Familiarity with tactical data links and satellite communications.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to create innovative solutions.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to develop and implement comprehensive test documentation and procedures.
