Position Summary:

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for working with complex data sets from various sources to evaluate competitor trends and market positioning. In collaboration with brand and customer marketing teams, the analyst suggests suitable pricing strategies to meet the financial objectives of the organization. The Pricing Analyst will also oversee the audit controls process for pricing and promotional execution within the Americas region, primarily focusing on the US market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with essential stakeholders, particularly in Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Commercial Operations, to facilitate the development and execution of annual and semi-annual pricing updates.
  • Provide assistance, guidance, and share best practices with Canadian and Latin American markets concerning pricing, promotional, and rebate strategies.
  • Work alongside marketing to define National and Customer Brand product promotions, pricing, and rebate initiatives.
  • Maintain source data related to approved promotional and negotiated pricing for US national and customer brand promotions.
  • Responsible for managing a Competitor Catalog to deliver insights on competitor pricing and rebate programs, informing leadership about market trends and supporting counter-strategies for the marketing team.
  • Engage with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation during quarterly audits for internal pricing controls and SOX compliance.
  • Generate monthly REV08/REV11 SOX mitigating controls reports to verify pricing changes and collaborate with the Sales Operations team on any required remediation efforts.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy, quality, attention to detail, and efficiency, adopting best practices for pricing and auditing across all markets in the Americas region.
  • Assist in the implementation of pricing and CPQ functionality within Oracle to manage customer pricing.
  • Support special pricing projects as needed.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be necessary (up to 10%).

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities is essential.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools is required.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly with integrated systems and databases.
  • Ability to adapt and respond swiftly to new information and unexpected results.
  • Capable of assimilating large data sets from diverse sources and performing data-driven analytics to influence business decisions.
  • Effective communication skills to provide clear interpretations of analyses to management teams and across functions.
  • Adept at cross-functional collaboration to achieve results.
  • Willingness to perform routine tasks while managing ambiguity in a diverse and challenging environment to support growth.
  • Competent in managing and prioritizing work, with a strong focus on deadlines.
Work Environment:
  • Standard office environment; hybrid work structure (60/40).
  • Prolonged periods of sitting in front of a computer.
  • Sedentary to light physical effort is necessary to perform the job.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years in business, sales, or marketing disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in pricing analysis, complex analytics, and scenario modeling.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business, mathematics, finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or certification in a pricing-related discipline is a plus.
