Position Overview:

The CNC Machining Specialist is integral to our manufacturing operations at PALIoT Solutions Inc. This role involves the precise operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate wooden components essential for pallet construction. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in CNC machining, ideally with experience in woodworking, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail to guarantee the production of high-quality pallets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage CNC machinery to accurately cut, shape, and profile wooden materials for pallet production.
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production orders to ascertain machining needs.
  • Select and install suitable cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories for CNC operations.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to program CNC machines.
  • Oversee machine performance to ensure operational efficiency, making necessary adjustments to uphold quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to perform routine upkeep on CNC equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacements, to maintain peak performance.
  • Examine finished products for quality assurance and precision, adjusting CNC programming as required.
  • Work closely with team members, including designers and production personnel, to enhance machining processes and meet production goals.
  • Identify and resolve challenges related to CNC machining, such as tool wear, equipment issues, and material inconsistencies.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Exhibit a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have technical training or certification in CNC machining.
  • Bring a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in CNC machining, preferably within a woodworking or manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrate experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Show proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Have a strong understanding of CNC programming using CAD/CAM software.
  • Be capable of performing routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshooting technical challenges.
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and precision in machining tasks.
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Maintain physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Commit to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Compensation: $25-25 Hourly Wage
