Position Summary:
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for working with intricate data sets from various sources to evaluate competitor trends and market positioning. In partnership with brand and customer marketing teams, the analyst proposes suitable pricing strategies to meet the financial objectives of the organization. Additionally, the Pricing Analyst will oversee the audit controls process for pricing and promotional execution within the Americas region, primarily focusing on the U.S. market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with essential stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Commercial Operations, to facilitate the development and execution of annual and semi-annual pricing updates.
- Provide support and share best practices with Canadian and Latin American markets concerning pricing, promotional activities, and rebate strategies.
- Work alongside marketing to establish national and customer brand product promotions, pricing, and rebate initiatives.
- Maintain source data related to approved promotional and negotiated pricing for U.S. national and customer brand promotions.
- Manage a Competitor Catalog to analyze competitors' pricing and rebate programs, informing leadership about market trends and supporting counter-strategies for the marketing team.
- Engage with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation during quarterly audits for internal pricing controls and SOX compliance.
- Generate monthly REV08/REV11 SOX mitigating controls reports to verify pricing changes and collaborate with the Sales Operations team on any required remediation efforts.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy, quality, attention to detail, and efficiency, promoting best practices for pricing and auditing across all markets in the Americas region.
- Assist in the implementation of pricing and CPQ functionality within Oracle to manage customer pricing effectively.
- Support special pricing projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities is essential.
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools is required.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
- High level of computer literacy, particularly with integrated systems and databases, is a plus.
- Adaptable and responsive to new information and unexpected results.
- Ability to synthesize large data sets from diverse sources and perform analytical assessments to guide business decisions.
- Effective communication skills to provide clear and concise interpretations of analyses to management and across functions.
- Adept at cross-functional collaboration and achieving results at multiple organizational levels.
- Willingness to handle routine tasks while navigating ambiguity in a diverse and challenging environment to foster growth.
- Competent in managing and prioritizing work while adhering to deadlines.
- Standard office environment; hybrid work structure (60/40).
- Prolonged periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Sedentary to light physical effort required to perform the job.
- Minimum of 5 years in business, sales, or marketing disciplines.
- At least 3 years of experience in pricing analysis, complex analytics, and scenario modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business, mathematics, finance, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or certification in a pricing-related discipline is a plus.
For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $77,000 and $112,000 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes various factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for additional types of compensation and benefits.
