Job Summary:

The Greece Central School District is seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our team. As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of computer networks and related equipment. Key Responsibilities:

Configure and image desktops, laptops, and peripherals using various operating systems and BIOS.

Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity, computer hardware, and software programs in various settings throughout the district.

Perform minor repairs on computer equipment, including desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, Apple Devices, and computer peripherals.

Stay current with knowledge and skills necessary to support current and future district computer systems.

Respond to customers professionally within the Customer Service Standards of the department and district.

Accurately document tickets and update the asset inventory system in a timely fashion.

Organize and lead team members to meet computer-related needs of assigned locations.

Work with building and district administration to plan and implement installation, redistribution, and removal of computer-related equipment.

Assist in the physical receiving, storage, and disposal of inventory. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Requirements:

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree in an information technology related field;

Two (2) years of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in the operation, installation, or maintenance/repair of a computer network server or network operating system;

Successful completion of a recognized course in computer operations and repair, plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as described above;

Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of the above.

Desired Qualifications:

Self-starter with a desire to learn.

Working Conditions:

The Network Technician will work in a variety of settings throughout the district, including schools and administrative offices. The position requires the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $55,000 minimum. The Greece Central School District offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
