We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to join our team at Hollaway Environmental + Communications Services, Inc. in central Houston. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects and contribute to the growth of our award-winning Environmental Services team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project development, budget preparation, client communication, and problem-solving. They will also be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with clients, upholding quality assurance standards, and ensuring timely delivery of projects within budget.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Project Management: Develop project scopes, prepare budgets, conduct project meetings, communicate with clients, and develop strategies for problem-solving and invoicing. ">
  • Client Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with clients through proactive and professional communication, including interfacing with clients and vendors. ">
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold Hollaway's Quality Assurance/Quality Control policy for all deliverables. ">
  • Task Management: Complete tasks within specified timeframes and support a regular 30-day invoicing cycle. ">
  • Team Support: Provide support to the Operations Team as needed. ">
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including the Safety Plan. ">

Technical Skills

  • ">
  • Environmental Clearances: Lead standard/routine wetland delineations, technical report preparation, and quality reviews; defend work to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). ">
  • Species Assessments: Lead threatened and endangered species habitat assessments and technical report preparation. ">
  • Phase I ESAs: Lead Phase I Environmental Site Assessment field data collection and author/sign technical reports as an Environmental Professional (EP). ">
  • Trees and Vegetation: Lead tree surveys, fieldwork, and technical reports. ">
  • Permitting: USACE applications (Nationwide Permit pre-construction notification, Individual Permit, Letter of Permission, and navigation-related permits); advise clients on permitting strategies. ">
  • National Environmental Policy Act: Prepare National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation (Categorical Exclusion, Environmental Assessment, Environmental Impact Statement) for various agencies. ">
  • Field Surveys: Lead species-specific field surveys and report preparation; coordinate with agencies for state or federal protected species. ">
  • Mitigation and Restoration: Prepare biological evaluations and biological assessments for Section 7 Consultation; coordinate with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and/or National Marine Fisheries Service. ">
  • Habitat Assessments: Lead submerged aquatic resource habitat assessments, technical report preparation, and quality reviews. ">
  • Ecological Modeling: Lead ecological modeling field data acquisition, data interpretation, technical report preparation, and quality reviews. ">
  • Writing and Editing: Proficient in technical writing, reviewing, and editing complex deliverables for various resource topics. ">
  • GIS Experience: Proficient in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) experience (optional). ">
  • Multilingual: Multilingual skills are beneficial but not required. ">

Business Development and Marketing

  • Client Support: Support successful relationships with clients, vendors, agencies, and industry leaders. ">
  • Business Development: Support business development activities within the company. ">
  • RFP Responses: Support the development of responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other requests for proposals. ">
  • Project Pursuits: Support and participate in interviews for project pursuits. ">
  • Training and Conferences: Remain current on industry developments and relevant environmental regulations by attending training and conferences provided by Hollaway. ">

  • Operational Support: Support the Executive Team in operational functions, ensuring profitability, efficient use of resources, adherence to safety policies, and open communication. ">
  • Equipment and Supplies: Work with the entire team to maintain company equipment and supplies to make cost-effective decisions about monthly bills, GPS units, office space, computers, vehicles, and other expenditures. ">
  • Professional Development: Complete necessary training to excel in your practice area and company-mandated training. ">
  • Compliance: Comply with all company policies and procedures, including Non-Compete and Confidentiality Agreements. ">
  • Operations and Procedures: Perform job duties within company standard operations and procedures, complying with job-related requests. ">
  • Client Relationships: Maintain a positive rapport with clients, vendors, colleagues, and subcontractors proactively and professionally. ">
  • Time Management: Manage calendars to prioritize tasks, juggle multiple deadlines, and keep track of important details. ">
  • Project Delivery: Complete project tasks safely, accurately, on schedule, and on budget in support of our goals. ">
