We are seeking a skilled Environmental Consultant to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants in Houston, Texas. As an Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in providing technical expertise and project management for site investigation and remediation projects.

Job Overview

This is a regular full-time position that requires travel to client facilities as needed. You will work closely with our team to develop practical solutions for environmental challenges and lead projects involving soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, due diligence, environmental permitting, compliance, and other exciting environmental issues.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in environmental engineering or science, preferably in a consulting environment. You should possess strong technical writing, project management, and communication skills, as well as the ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.

You will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and permit application documents associated with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) industrial and hazardous waste management regulations. Additionally, you will manage and oversee the preparation of technical reports such as Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs); Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); Spill, Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans; and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).

In this role, you will also review and research regulatory topics, determine regulatory applicability to processes and problems, and participate in business development activities. You will interact with senior staff and management to meet task, schedule, and budget requirements and support client opportunities and proposal preparation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental and/or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least five years of directly related experience in environmental engineering or science, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Strong technical writing, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
