Job Title: Managing Consultant, Advisors Business Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Consultant to join our Advisors Business Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with our clients in the Retail and Drug & Grocery industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external clients to ensure effective collaboration and engagement.
  • Identify and capture clients' underlying business needs, going beyond explicit requests, and pinpointing critical aspects of problems to be solved.
  • Lead formal and informal pitches, delivering concise and persuasive materials tailored to specific client needs and levels.
  • Leverage industry relationships and experience to discover new business development opportunities.
  • Manage a pipeline of proposals, guiding them from initial lead stages to final signature, and driving urgency with clients to move proposals forward.
  • Consistently meet and exceed targets, driving business success.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine project scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client requirements.
  • Employ innovative approaches to identify new opportunities and drive business growth within project scope.
  • Coach and provide valuable feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Formulate, articulate, and prioritize project activities, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Support the project team in problem-solving efforts and structuring the project work plan.
  • Create and deliver compelling and concise presentations that effectively communicate key insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of analyses conducted within the project.
  • Develop well-founded conclusions and recommendations based on thorough analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Systems Engineering, or related field. An MBA or relevant post-graduate degree is preferred.
  • Strong commercial, business development-oriented, or sales experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience selling to and managing commercial relationships within the Retail and/or Drug & Grocery industry.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, effectively influencing and building consensus.
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to tackle complex challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conveying information clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience managing projects and teams, showcasing leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, fostering long-term partnerships with clients.
  • Technical fluency, comfortably navigating technology solutions and confidently discussing industry trends.
