Position Overview

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a highly skilled Auditor 3 to join our Corporate office team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our financial and operational practices.

Key Responsibilities

As an Auditor 3, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial and operational audits, assessing the effectiveness of internal control systems.
  • Examine and validate accounting and operational records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations for management.
  • Oversee the entire audit process, from program development to report writing and follow-up.
  • Support senior auditors on extensive assignments and mentor junior auditing staff.
  • Engage in auditing activities related to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Assist divisions in evaluating and enhancing business practices and control procedures.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree with at least 4 years of professional experience.

Preferred Skills

Ideal candidates will also have:
  • Experience in Data Analytics.
  • CPA and/or CIA certifications.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
