Job Overview

The Finance Manager at Ethos Holding Corp will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive accounting support for significant projects and enhancing operational efficiencies. This position requires a thorough understanding of various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, payor contracting, and revenue cycle operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the monthly financial closing process and ensure accurate journal entries are prepared and recorded.
  • Conduct detailed account analyses and reconciliations, encompassing bank statements, fixed assets, employee benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Manage monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed asset depreciation, and the documentation of adjusting and reclassification journal entries.
  • Support the daily, monthly, and annual operations of the Finance Department.
  • Establish and maintain a system for recording fixed assets, ensuring compliance with established procedures and controls.
  • Facilitate external audits by leading efforts to provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Generate financial reports, including financial statements, daily cash position reports, and key financial metrics.
  • Collaborate on projects aimed at improving systems and procedures within both costing and financial areas of the Finance Department.
  • Review general ledger postings to ensure accuracy in accounts and costs at the time of receipt.
  • Provide accounting insights for the evaluation of product margins and costs associated with both existing and new products.
  • Safeguard the organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Enhance accounting controls by proposing and implementing relevant policies and procedures.
  • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and addressing inquiries.
  • Resolve financial discrepancies through thorough analysis and collection of account information.
  • Assist in managing federal, state, and local tax obligations, including coordination with tax auditors and government entities.
  • Compile and analyze monthly sales and use tax data.
  • Focus on continuous improvement initiatives, emphasizing waste reduction and process efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of reimbursement contract programs with managed care organizations and payors.
  • Assist in formulating payor strategies, fostering relationships, and negotiating contracts that align with organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with the revenue cycle team to ensure precise recognition of revenues, allowances, and payor reimbursements.
  • Support ad-hoc inquiries and projects as required.
Professional Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related Finance discipline.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA credentials are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry roles.
  • Experience in cost accounting is a plus.
