Job Overview:
Huntington Ingalls Industries, a leading shipbuilding and defense contractor, is seeking a qualified Senior Corporate Tax Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local corporate income tax filings in accordance with relevant tax regulations.
- Contribute to the development of quarterly and annual tax provisions, including the reconciliation and management of deferred tax accounts.
- Support tax-related workflows, including the Annual Operating Plan and Transfer Pricing Reports.
- Aid in the implementation of automation and technological advancements within the tax department.
- Collaborate on process enhancements and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- A Master's degree with at least 1 year of applicable experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with large corporate tax environments or public accounting firms.
- Familiarity with international tax return preparation and compliance.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Power BI and Alteryx.
- Knowledge of tax compliance software and accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA designation is highly desirable.
