Position Overview

The Lead Credit Risk Analyst role is situated within the Credit Risk Management division, focusing on credit evaluation processes for key sectors including Government Banking, Depository Financial Institutions (DFI), and Education Non-Profit (ENP). This position entails the critical review and endorsement of financial facilities, including loans, leases, and lines of credit that exceed the authority levels of the business unit or credit officer. Responsibilities include thorough analysis of deal structures, documentation, collateral assessments, due diligence, internal rating evaluations, and stress testing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various transaction risks, including credit, liquidity, and regulatory compliance.

In addition to credit approval duties, this role will collaborate closely with business units to ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures, monitor risk across portfolios, and provide timely assessments of risk ratings and their evolution. The Lead Credit Risk Analyst will also ensure compliance with regulatory standards, identify emerging trends and potential risks, and evaluate new business opportunities. This position serves as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and support to various business lines within the organization.

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent professional experience
- Typically over 15 years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and financial services trends affecting the business line
- Comprehensive understanding of the operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls of the business line
- Strong familiarity with Risk, Compliance, and Audit functions
- Proven leadership and management capabilities in processes, projects, and personnel
- Effective management of high-pressure situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Relevant professional certifications

This role offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance for three or more days per week, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
