Position Overview

Compensation: $17.50 per hour

Employment Type: Part-time - minimum 30 hours per week - Non-exempt

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing engaging, individualized activities for the Many Hearts initiative, which may include community excursions, musical events, arts and crafts, cognitive games, sensory experiences, and hands-on activities such as gardening and clay work.
  • Creating and maintaining a monthly schedule of activities.
  • Completing daily documentation as required.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for all participants.
Qualifications:

Education:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in planning and executing social or recreational programs for adults with disabilities or functional impairments.
  • Understanding of the needs of older adults with disabilities, along with knowledge of Independent Living Philosophy and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to lift at least 60 pounds, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships, with a focus on working with older adults and individuals with disabilities.
  • Exemplary communication skills and strong group management capabilities.
