Shipyard Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Shipyard Assistant to join our team at LEAD Staffing. As a Shipyard Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of ships and other marine vessels. This is a great opportunity to work with a leading staffing and recruiting partner and gain valuable experience in the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the cleaning and preparation of work sites for installation projects
- Help load and unload materials, machinery, and tools
- Set up work areas, including equipment
- Assist installation and service teams as needed
- Rip out fiberglass insulation
- Ability to obtain clearance to work on Naval Bases
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Experience with small hand and power tools
- Working safely on a construction job site
- Climbing stairs to high locations/working on scaffolding & ladders 12' high
