OVERVIEW

The Retail Operations Supervisor is tasked with assisting the Store Manager in overseeing store functions to guarantee an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability. The Retail Operations Supervisor will execute all managerial duties in the absence of the Store Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive for Results

  • Exhibit a competitive mindset. Propel plans, comparable store sales, credit card metrics, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) with a customer-centric approach.
  • Train and exemplify sales techniques with style.
  • Enhance brand visibility through the planning and execution of grassroots marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain awareness on the sales floor; address customer issues promptly and effectively.

Recruit, Hire and Staff

  • Evaluate talent and take timely actions to elevate store personnel.
  • Proactively develop a talent pool of internal and external candidates, creating a recruiting network of qualified individuals to fill vacancies efficiently.

Coach and Develop

  • Provide timely feedback, training, and coaching that leads to enhanced performance.
  • Instill a passion for the brand and a commitment to performance improvement.
  • Hold the team accountable for meeting performance expectations.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully, fostering teamwork.

Brand Management

  • Embody the ShopHQ brand, demonstrating a commitment to serving and styling our customers.
  • Utilize merchandising strategies to stimulate sales growth through engaging visual displays.
  • Organize and lead efforts to maintain a clean and safe retail environment.
  • Ensure the store is consistently presented according to visual merchandising standards and hold the team accountable for compliance.

Operations Management

  • Oversee general store operations and adhere to all operational policies and procedures, including loss prevention, to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Implement corporate directives within specified timeframes.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with company policies, procedures, and core values. Regular attendance and flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs, including weekends and holidays, are essential. Managers/Supervisors are expected to work weekends as required by business demands. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Minimum of 2 years of retail experience, preferably with ShopHQ.
  • Strong emphasis on customer service experience.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in specialty retail is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of retail selling techniques with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of retail mathematics and its application in daily operations.
  • Proficiency in operating point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to manage bank deposits in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
