Job Overview

Shift: 3rd shift, starting at 8 PM. Weekend availability is required.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that the facility, equipment, and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the Safety Quality Food (SQF) standards and Food Safety Procedures. This role involves adhering to safety protocols and company policies while supporting the sanitation management team in executing all cleaning tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all applicable Plant, State, and Federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF.
  • Execute all sanitation duties as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule, monitored by FDA and SQF.
  • Complete daily housekeeping tasks as assigned within the plant.
  • Fulfill weekly general cleaning assignments as per the schedule.
  • Carry out cleaning tasks during production downtime.
  • Mentor new employees in effective cleaning practices.
  • Document all completed tasks in the sanitation cleaning schedule form.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Perform basic maintenance activities, including replacing or repairing equipment, changing light bulbs, and relocating items as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, SQF, and food safety protocols.
  • Follow all safety procedures diligently.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Utilize lockout/tagout procedures as necessary.
  • Manage wastewater effectively.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on departmental and organizational needs.
