Position Overview

The Sanitation Specialist is tasked with ensuring cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities, including offices, conference rooms, restrooms, kitchens, break areas, and communal spaces. While the primary focus is on cleaning, the role may also encompass basic maintenance responsibilities. Most tasks will be conducted indoors, with occasional outdoor duties.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain flooring by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Wash windows and mirrors to ensure clarity.
  • Restock and sanitize restroom facilities.
  • Dispose of waste and manage trash removal.
  • Keep a cleaning log to track areas that have been serviced and inspected.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and equipment as necessary.
  • Organize and maintain janitorial storage spaces.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols and comply with company policies.
  • Read and interpret written instructions; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform physical tasks and operate standard janitorial equipment.
  • Exhibit attention to detail in all cleaning tasks.
  • Follow schedules and meet commitments consistently.
  • Receive and act on directions from supervisors.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
  • Manage time effectively and work independently as well as collaboratively.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or janitorial roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary for this position.

Certifications: No specific certifications are required.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be influenced by various factors, including education, relevant experience, and skill set. Living Spaces reserves the right to adjust the pay range as needed.

Compensation: $21.45
