Job Overview

This position involves working during the 3rd shift, starting at 8 PM, with a requirement to be available on weekends.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility is to ensure that the facility, equipment, and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the Safety Quality Food (SQF) standards and Food Safety Procedures. Adherence to safety regulations and company policies is essential, as well as providing support to the sanitation management team by executing all assigned cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all applicable Plant, State, and Federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF.
  • Execute all sanitation duties monitored by the FDA and SQF in alignment with the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Complete daily housekeeping tasks as assigned within the plant.
  • Carry out weekly general cleaning assignments as outlined.
  • Fulfill cleaning responsibilities during scheduled production downtime.
  • Assist in training new staff on cleaning procedures and techniques.
  • Document all completed tasks in the sanitation cleaning schedule form.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Perform basic maintenance duties, including replacing or repairing equipment, changing light bulbs, and relocating boxes and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, SQF, and food safety protocols.
  • Follow all safety procedures diligently.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Utilize lockout/tag out procedures as necessary.
  • Engage in wastewater management activities.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on departmental and organizational needs.
