About the Role

The Licensing Planner is a key member of the Hybrid Apparel team, responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Forecasting

  • Develop annual financial plans for top licensors and retailers, aligning with the company's overall strategy.
  • Utilize analytical tools and forecasting techniques to create accurate demand forecasts, collaborating with Sales and Licensing teams.
  • Track performance against plans and communicate any issues or opportunities.
  • Assist in budgeting processes related to licensor partnerships and ensure financial objectives are met.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Monitor and evaluate licensor partnerships against key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize performance and profitability.
  • Provide Retail Sales reporting to each licensor.
  • Conduct analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within specific licensor segments, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making processes.

Contract Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and obligations.

Data Management

  • Partner with Licensing and Master Data teams to ensure data capture meets partner needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Licensing, Sales, Planning, and Creative, to ensure alignment with company goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a business analyst, strategic planner, or similar role within the apparel industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel user (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
  • Familiarity with licensing agreements, contract management, and intellectual property rights is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of current pop culture is a plus for this role.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Team player who can collaborate effectively across the organization.
