Job Title: Horizontal Construction Engineer

About the Job:

As a Horizontal Construction Engineer in the Army National Guard, you'll play a crucial role in preparing construction sites for various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozers and roadgraders, to clear and level the terrain. This involves analyzing the site's topography, identifying obstacles, and developing strategies to overcome them. Your work will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects, and you'll have the opportunity to develop valuable skills in heavy equipment operation and construction management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze site conditions and develop plans to clear and level the terrain
• Operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozers and roadgraders, to clear and grade the site
• Identify and remove obstacles, such as rocks and debris, to prepare the site for construction
• Collaborate with other engineers and construction personnel to ensure the successful completion of projects

Requirements:

• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
