  • The CM-CE must possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • The CM-CE shall be able to quickly understand and master the requirements of the local state and federal jurisdictions and the requirements of each in relation to this Project.
  • Experience reviewing design and construction plans against existing site conditions.


Required Skills and Knowledge


  • Knowledge of all aspects of commercial hospital mechanical construction including but not limited to underground mechanical installation, medical gas systems, domestic water systems, chilled water systems, and steam systems.
  • Knowledge of construction engineering, geotechnical engineering, and structural engineering.
  • Knowledge of road design and construction.
  • Experience working in both vertical and horizontal conduction scenarios.
  • Ability to provide cost estimates and take-offs for the civil / structural contract modifications.
  • Ability to determine compliance of workmanship, materials, equipment and installed work with contract requirements and industry standards.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of building, safety, and environmental codes.
  • Working knowledge of environmental, civil, safety, architectural and structural fields.
  • Knowledge of governmental contracting procedures, principles, guidelines and public law.

Communication, Language, and Software Skills

  • Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills.

Education, Certifications, Affiliation

  • The CM-CE shall be a licensed professional with a degree in Site/Civil Engineering from an accredited institution of higher learning. The individual shall have a minimum of six (6) years of experience in both design and construction.
  • Additional consideration will be given to a Construction Manager-Civil Engineer who possesses a current professional engineering license registration and maintenance of same throughout tenure.
