Account Manager Role Overview

The Account Manager at DeSpir Logistics LLC is responsible for driving account-specific outreach to maintain existing business and uncover growth opportunities within existing accounts. This role requires a strong relationship builder who can foster and nurture relationships with customers to spearhead the growth of active/assigned customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster and nurture strong relationships with customers to drive account growth.
  • Oversee transactional and contractual freight opportunities to optimize customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Proactively make phone calls to existing customers to identify new opportunities and contribute to the expansion of the business portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide and optimize service performance.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to uncover potential upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to evaluate performance, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and service delivery.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years' experience within transportation, logistics, and/or brokerage environment preferred.
  • Strong phone presence and ability to overcome customer objections to sell DeSpir transportation services with confidence.
  • Experience with CRM preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales, business development, account management, and relationship building.
  • Knowledge of the operational attention to detail required to succeed within the industry.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well with others in a fast-paced environment within strict time frames.
  • Passionate about customer service and solving problems with customer experience in mind.
  • Mathematics and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, pro-active spirit.
