We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Systems Specialist to join our team at REMPREX, a leading intermodal logistics company based in Lisle, Illinois. As an Enterprise Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our server infrastructure, including physical and virtual server designs. Your expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware ESX Server, Active Directory, Internet Information Services (IIS), DNS, EMC, Cisco UCS, Hyperconverged Systems O365, Azure, and other server and system components will be invaluable to our team.

Responsibilities of the Enterprise Systems Specialist include:

  • Building, configuring, and supporting SYNAPSETM Automated Gate System and corporate infrastructure, including Network Area Storage (NAS), SQL, Domain Controller, EMC, and other servers.
  • Building, configuring, and supporting internal and external server platforms, including Windows Server (2016 R2 – 2022), Linux, SQL, Exchange, O365, and Azure.
  • Developing and maintaining systems, applications, security, and system configurations based on company requirements.
  • Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software and hardware used throughout the company.
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of the organization through development and practice procedures of disaster recovery methods.
  • Proactively monitoring the health of servers using common network monitoring tools.
  • Maintaining server and system content documentation.
  • Enforcing security and group policies.

The ideal candidate for the Enterprise Systems Specialist position will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or five years' experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a related area.
  • Solid technical understanding of network and system protocols, including Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) / Internet Protocol (IP), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name Service (DNS), and Active Directory.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining various hardware, including HP ProLiant servers, APC power equipment (UPS and PDU), EMC Unity and VNX storage, and Hyperconverged Nutanix.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining various software and platforms, including VMware ESX Server, Microsoft Windows (Desktop and Server), DHCP, DNS, IIS, Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange Server, O365, and SharePoint, and Azure.
  • Proven ability to integrate new server designs with existing systems.
  • Solid experience with network and systems protocol.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to support a team environment.
  • Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Preferred qualifications include experience with Linux operating system, Ivanti LANDesk, Sophos security products, and backup products.
