Manager at IHOP Restaurant

The manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the staff at IHOP restaurant. The primary focus is on managing both front and back of house operations, emphasizing profitability and sales enhancement while upholding IHOP's commitment to quality and service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the attainment of projected sales and profit goals.
  • Foster and maintain professional relationships with IHOP staff and patrons.
  • Implement training programs for hourly employees to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in executing annual financial, marketing, guest service, and human resource strategies for the assigned location.
  • Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the restaurant.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, training, and retention efforts for staff.
  • Ensure sufficient inventory levels of food, paper, kitchen, and safety supplies.
  • Maintain operational equipment and premises in compliance with regulations.
  • Uphold safety, sanitation, and security standards.
  • Assist in preparing necessary reports and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
SUPERVISORY ROLE

The manager directly oversees craft employees at the assigned location, ensuring coordination and evaluation in line with company policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The requirements listed reflect the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with two to four years of relevant experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficiency in speaking and reading English, interpreting documents, writing reports, and effectively communicating in group settings.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

A valid Driver's License is required for business-related activities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position involves standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, talking, and lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees may encounter fumes, moving parts, caustic chemicals, and varying environmental conditions.
