Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, recommending improvements for workplace safety.
  • Exhibit safe work practices and follow all safety regulations, including Lock Out/Tag Out protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct both planned and unplanned maintenance on production and facility equipment, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for documentation.
  • Propose enhancements for preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to boost equipment performance and availability.
  • Execute minor electrical and mechanical projects as directed by supervisors.
  • Repair and replace various electrical and mechanical components, including motors, relays, and valves.
  • Diagnose issues within complex electrical systems and components, identifying hazards and necessary adjustments.
  • Install, replace, and repair electrical wiring and components, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Support the setup and relocation of equipment to meet production demands.
  • Test electrical equipment for functionality and safety.
  • Install new power supply lines according to industry regulations.
  • Assemble control panels based on provided specifications.
  • Calculate load requirements and select appropriate components in line with current electrical codes.
  • Maintain inventory levels of spare parts effectively.
  • Keep a well-organized workspace that meets housekeeping standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Familiarity with equipment operation and preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Experience with hand tools and machinery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
