The University of Vermont Medical Center seeks a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our facilities team. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for executing preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on all facilities and building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance, construction, and repair activities of building electrical systems, mechanical systems, grounds, and utilities specific to the assigned area.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including those related to electrical work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Perform routine inspections and testing to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failure.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and Vermont Journeyman Electricians License.
  • Completion of an accredited 8000-hour apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • All Electricians are encouraged to obtain their Master Electrician License.
  • A valid Vt. driver's license is required.

Experience:

  • Five years of electrical experience is required.
