Maintenance Technician

This dynamic position entails overseeing preventative maintenance across the facility and process equipment, along with executing projects associated with maintenance and engineering demands. A comprehensive grasp of preventative maintenance within a manufacturing setting is essential for success in this role. The company is recognized as a prominent designer and manufacturer of solar cells and photovoltaic modules within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on production and facility machinery as necessary.
  • Execute minor electrical or mechanical projects as instructed by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Assess basic electrical systems, mechanical parts, pneumatic systems, and controls to pinpoint hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments, repairs, or programming.
  • Repair and replace electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components such as motors, contractors, relays, timers, switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves as directed.
  • Manage the inventory levels of electrical spare parts.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment to restore it to safe and optimal working conditions.
  • Follow work orders and utilize the CMMS for data entry.
  • Be available for rotating shifts, including overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Must be capable of lifting weights up to 50lbs.

Qualifications:

  • 1-6+ years of experience in preventative maintenance is required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and possess mechanical aptitude with a willingness to troubleshoot issues.
  • Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic systems is preferred.
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance practices is advantageous.
  • Forklift or scissor lift certification or experience is a plus.

Salary Range:

  • $44,000-77,000 based on experience.

Weekly Schedule Options:

  • NIGHT SHIFT (additional $1.50/hr): 6:00 PM- 6:00 AM with a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, etc.
  • 1st SHIFT: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM with a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, etc.
