What Does a Sales Associate Do?

If you want to be at the heart of the Five Below experience, our part-time Sales Associates are right in the thick of all store activities. Ideal candidates possess a relentless passion for providing exceptional customer service while also achieving impressive sales outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures and policies
  • Manage cash handling processes
  • Review and act on all corporate communications relevant to their area
  • Assist in merchandising strategies
  • Maintain assigned areas and uphold Market Plan directives
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through direct engagement with customers
  • Support receiving and stocking operations
  • Stage merchandise for the sales floor
  • Conduct store maintenance tasks

This job description is not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the General Manager based on store needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for the entire shift
  • Frequently operate the cash register
  • Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
  • Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock
  • Kneel, bend, and stoop as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure

The pay range for this position is [$16 to $16.50 per hour]. Compensation may vary based on various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, educational background, and geographic location.

Dependent on the position offered, benefits, bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package.
