About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at the State of Montana's Department of Administration. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in streamlining state agencies' access to vital data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Design, implement, and optimize database systems to meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in database administration, depending on level.
  • Strong knowledge of database administration concepts, including data structures, storage options, query optimization, security, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with Oracle database administration, RedHat Linux operating system, SQL, and PL/SQL.
