Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our climate and sustainability efforts in the infrastructure sector.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement a climate and sustainability strategy for the infrastructure sector.
  • Build a team of climate and sustainability experts across regions and sectors to support business development initiatives.
  • Raise awareness and equip staff with climate and sustainability knowledge through training and knowledge management.
  • Coordinate with other departments to identify and remove roadblocks to achieving climate and sustainability goals.
  • Represent the World Bank Group at industry and climate events, and engage in thought leadership and innovation initiatives.

**Requirements**

  • MBA or relevant Master's qualification and at least 12-15 years of experience in infrastructure financing and/or climate finance.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and climate financing, as well as broader sustainability, energy transition, and climate issues.
  • Experience investing in core infrastructure sectors (power, transportation, utilities, mining, telecoms, etc.).
  • Excellent people interaction and management skills, with ability to guide direct reports and colleagues in finding solutions to problems.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions and challenge the status quo to build the business.
  • Recognized as a team player and leader, with ability to integrate, manage, and resolve conflict in a complex matrix.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with highest standards of ethical integrity, transparency, and fairness.
