Director, Brand Strategy & Partnerships

Position Overview

True Classic Tees LLC is in search of a remarkable leader to oversee and expand the True Classic brand. This role emphasizes team development and leadership, managing strategic initiatives, partnerships, and organic social media presence. The position will report directly to the Head of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership: Recruit, nurture, and inspire both internal team members and external collaborators (e.g., agencies, consultants, SaaS partners) to cultivate a cooperative work atmosphere and achieve outstanding business outcomes.
  2. Brand Strategy: Formulate and execute a thorough brand strategy, concentrating on visual identity, brand voice, and positioning to enhance True Classic's brand equity. Ensure uniform brand messaging and identity across all platforms and channels.
  3. Brand Partnerships: Forge and manage strategic alliances with other brands, creators, publications, and influencers to boost True Classic's brand visibility and outreach. Negotiate and supervise partnership agreements to guarantee mutually advantageous results.
  4. Organic Social Media: Oversee True Classic's presence on all organic social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X), ensuring engaging and consistent content that fosters brand awareness and community growth. Develop and implement social media strategies that align with broader brand objectives.
  5. Influencer Engagement: Identify, engage, and collaborate with influencers to amplify True Classic's brand message and reach new demographics. Design and execute influencer marketing campaigns that align with brand goals, ensuring authenticity and congruence with True Classic's values. Monitor and assess influencer partnerships to evaluate their effectiveness and refine future collaborations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Marketing Analytics: Utilize comprehensive analytics and reporting to identify trends and provide actionable insights, enhancing both brand strategy and social media performance through collaboration with the analytics team.
  2. Marketing Technology: Assess and integrate marketing technology tools that enhance campaign efficiency, customer targeting, personalized messaging, and marketing automation in close partnership with the tech team.
  3. Product Development & Marketing: Work closely with the product team to pinpoint new product opportunities and craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience, elevating True Classic's market presence.
  4. Commercial Strategy: Collaborate with the commercial team to identify and leverage marketing initiatives to expand across sales channels and regions, focusing on both brand development and ongoing customer engagement.
  5. Financial Planning & Analysis: Provide strategic insights to the finance team to refine brand strategy and optimize marketing efficiency, informing financial forecasting and business goal setting to support sustainable growth.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of marketing experience with a proven history in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, direct-to-consumer brands, and omnichannel retail is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate deep consumer insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to drive initiatives from concept to completion swiftly, overcome challenges, and multitask across various projects.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; willing to take initiative and do whatever it takes to achieve optimal results and succeed as a team.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing marketing teams; strong leadership skills including mentoring, coaching, and inspiring teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change effectively.
