Bridges Public Charter School is committed to providing an exemplary educational program that meets the unique needs of its students.

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team, working with preschool and elementary school aged children with a range of motor skills development concerns.

This part-time position offers flexibility in schedule and caseload hours, with compensation based on educational level, certification(s), and years of experience. The estimated annual salary for this role is between $36,000 and $49,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct Services: Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to students according to IEPs/504 plans, conducting assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to determine strengths and concerns.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop treatment plans (IEPs/504 plans) that are strength-based and child-centered, ensuring evaluations, treatment plans, and service delivery align with school, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified occupational/motor concerns, consulting with teaching teams to develop and implement curriculum modifications and classroom strategies.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
  • A current DC DOH license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • At least two years of related experience, preferably with preschool/elementary school aged children with motor skills development concerns
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in occupational therapy
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
