Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. As an Occupational Therapist with American Senior Communities, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients. This includes evaluating patients, developing initial and ongoing treatment plans, supervising assistants, contributing to case management, and providing quality patient care.

About the Role:

This is a part-time role, requiring the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of our patients. You will be working across various settings, including Eastgate Manor and Prairie Village. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients to identify their physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote independence and well-being
  • Supervise and mentor Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary case management teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide high-quality patient care, with a focus on dignity, respect, and compassion

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Clinical experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting
  • Licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of employment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
