Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Representative to join our team at First Commonwealth Bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the organization's human capital strategies, fostering diversity, and acting as a valued partner and consultant to assigned business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the organization's human capital strategies to effectively attract, retain, and reward talent and foster diversity.
  • Acts as a valued partner and consultant to assigned business units, providing guidance on talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR operations.
  • Stays abreast of employment-related legislation and monitors and implements human resource-related federal and state requirements to ensure legal compliance.
  • Supports managers throughout the talent acquisition process, including job postings, candidate selection, interviews, and offers for employment.
  • Consults on and assists business partners with onboarding and retention activities.
  • Advises management on appropriate resolutions related to staffing needs, discipline, performance management, and personnel actions.
  • Recommends and approves personnel actions that support business unit and company goals.
  • Actively consults on performance review and salary-related activities to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equitable pay.
  • Develops and conducts training on topics such as interviewing techniques, personnel actions, and performance management.
  • Responds to management and employee inquiries on policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Works to resolve employee concerns and issues, escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Represents the company at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Two years of experience in a closely related position.
  • The ability to handle confidential information with the highest degree of integrity.
  • Strong organizational, time management, multitasking, and record-keeping skills.
  • Grammatical skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • A demonstrated understanding of current local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking and talent management systems is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel as necessary.
