Primary Objective of the Role:

  • Collaborate with plant quality technology and production teams.
  • Maintain the integrity of quality systems.
  • Introduce new products and processes while addressing product performance challenges.
  • Drive cost savings through process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct activities that include generating reports, performing product quality assessments, managing product holds, and interpreting specifications to enhance product quality in the manufacturing process.
  • Facilitate development builds and trials, issue specifications, analyze data, and conduct trials to boost manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools to analyze product discrepancies, recommend solutions, and lead cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members while offering daily support on the production floor.
  • Identify and rectify performance issues through thorough analysis and technical expertise in product and process, focusing on waste and cost reduction.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment, with experience in continuous improvement, product quality, and waste reduction.
  • Experience in a unionized setting (if applicable).
  • Specific experience in tire manufacturing processes is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to influence both floor and staff associates in all operational activities.
  • Understanding of tire specifications, construction, manufacturing equipment, and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize data and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Preferred knowledge in statistical procedures, statistics, and basic product design.
