Job Summary

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading the manufacturing engineering department to ensure timely completion of product development requirements and other projects assigned. This role will also involve evaluating product design for manufacturability and driving issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of teamwork and engagement that embodies Danfoss's values and behaviors.
  • Support and actively participate in the development of products, manufacturing processes, and infrastructure.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet changing demands and drive productivity improvement goals.
  • Develop production testers to ensure system performance and design for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Provide coaching and development planning for engineers and recruit, mentor, and continue developing interns on the team.
  • Facilitate team meetings with appropriate business content and cascading communication.
  • Have a strong shop floor presence and guide the team to identify waste and opportunities through RCPS, MIFAs, and Pareto charts.
  • Support productivity improvement goal of 10% YOY within Ames Operations and respond to escalations and help to resolve issues quickly.

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering field.
  • 3-year Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Team player who can build positive working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering.
  • Previous Leadership role experience.
  • 10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
