Job Title: Assistant Manager

CulinArt Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at SBU in Stony Brook/Long Island, NY.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a high standard of excellence in cafe operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a dedicated team of associates to uphold a high standard of excellence.
  • Support financial responsibilities by operating within the budget and identifying new ways to improve the business.
  • Coordinate daily cafe operations to ensure a seamless experience for our customers.
  • Plan, market, and complete special events and promotions to drive engagement and sales.
  • Strictly adhere to sanitation and cleaning standards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall success of the cafe.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in food service cafe operations, including restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare.
  • Proven operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet).
  • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
