Position Overview
This role is essential for the provision of patient care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Nursing Practice Standards.
The Nursing Team Leader will oversee and guide licensed and support team members in their designated tasks. This position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and implement care plans effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient care.
- Foster strong communication and leadership while supervising, training, and developing team members.
- Embrace change positively and constructively.
- Take responsibility for professional growth and maintain necessary clinical knowledge, skills, training, and credentials.
- Coordinate clinical operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Adapt care approaches to meet the unique needs of diverse patient populations.
- Perform additional related duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Certifications:
- Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice and CPR certification.
- Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty, ACLS, PALS.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Physical and Environmental Considerations
This position may require moderate physical activity, including lifting and moving patients or equipment. The role involves working in a healthcare environment where exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous materials may occur.
