Benefits Enrollment Specialist

At Kids In Distress, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Enrollment Specialist to join our team. As a Benefits Enrollment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting low-income families with children ages birth to 17 years old in Broward and Miami-Dade County navigate the benefits system.
Job SummaryThe Benefits Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for assisting eligible families connect and apply for appropriate benefits for which they may be entitled. This includes helping families discover and gain access to community resources that meet their needs, maintaining participant files, submitting monthly data and reports, and performing other office/clerical requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assist families in accessing benefits and community resources, including food, housing, transportation, education, employment, and respite care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant files and submit monthly data and reports.
- Stay knowledgeable about benefits of all levels (local, federal, seasonal) and community resources.
- Attend benefit enrollment activities and events.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole.
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred; and two (2) years of related experience.
- Excellent organizational and case management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evening and weekend hours.
- Valid Florida Driver's License with full access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.

Additionally, you will receive a SIGN-ON INCENTIVE OF 40 HOURS OF VACATION TIME OFF AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF YOUR 90 DAYS PROBATIONARY PERIOD, TO BE TAKEN WITHIN YOUR FIRST YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT.
