Role Summary
Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC) is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Financial Analyst specializing in Cost Management. This role is pivotal in supporting the financial forecasting, analysis, and cost management functions within our Battery Manufacturing division, which encompasses both Hybrid Electric and Battery Electric Modules.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering precise and timely financial insights to aid management in decision-making processes. This position demands flexibility and creativity, particularly as we navigate the evolving landscape of electrification. The individual will often work independently, tackling various challenges with a systematic and analytical approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost management initiatives for Battery Manufacturing, including budget coordination, cost reporting, and analysis.
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial closing processes, including accruals and journal entries.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual shop costs against budget and forecasts.
- Review and analyze operating metrics to support plant operations effectively.
- Contribute to the development of standardized processes and reporting for the new Battery Manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in supporting monthly financial closing processes.
- Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting for operational expenses.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting, including variance analysis and standard cost development.
- Familiarity with SAP Financials.
- Experience with BPC Planning for SAP.
- Background in the Automotive Manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including data importation and report creation.
- Strong presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint.
