Position Overview
The Texas Medical Board is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant II to provide essential support within the Investigations Department. This role involves performing routine administrative and technical tasks that are crucial for the efficient operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and disseminate information related to jurisdictional complaints.
- Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems.
- Generate, send, and electronically file correspondence pertinent to complaints, including routine updates and subpoenas.
- Assist in tracking expert panelist vouchers and ensure accurate payment information is maintained.
- Serve as the primary backup for processing incoming mail and documents.
- Obtain computerized reports as required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; further education from an accredited institution is preferred.
- A minimum of twelve months of experience in office practices and administrative support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with scanning devices.
Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures.
- Strong skills in using standard office equipment and software.
- The ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a professional demeanor.

Work Environment
